Teaching is an act of creative leadership.
I believe education is most powerful when it is grounded in practice, guided by rigor, and animated by purpose. Filmmakers are not only makers of content; they are stewards of story, culture, and collaboration. My work as an educator is driven by the responsibility to prepare students to lead thoughtfully within an evolving media landscape.

Craft comes before technology.
Emerging tools will always change. Story principles endure. My teaching begins with structure, character, theme, and visual language—the foundations that allow students to work fluently across film, digital media, and interactive platforms without losing narrative clarity or intention.

Practice informs pedagogy.
My approach to teaching is shaped by more than 20 years as a digital content creator and creative producer, developing award-winning digital content and interactive media. I translate story, strategy, and technology into meaningful audience experiences—and bring those real-world insights directly into the classroom. Education should reflect the realities students will face, not abstractions removed from practice.

Filmmakers shape environments, not just projects.
I teach and role model leadership as a creative skill. Collaboration, inclusion, ethical decision-making, and clear communication are not secondary to filmmaking, they are central to it. A healthy creative culture is as important as a successful final product.

The goal is to develop prepared, principled storytellers.
I teach to help students discover their voices, master their craft, and understand the responsibility that comes with making stories for a public audience. Education, like filmmaking, is about guiding ideas from intention to impact.
